First, you have to put two of your Pokemon in the day care. If they are compatible, they will stay in there for a while, when it's done, you should get an egg and depending on what Pokemon is gonna hatch from it, it'll take time. Though breeding isn't the only way to obtain eggs, there could be more ways.

Like missions which is how you got the Manaphy egg.
