After a somewhat lenghty wait, I have finally got round to writing a new article for the poke University. I have chosen Abomasnow, the Frost Tree Pokemon as the basis of my work.

Biology
Appearance
Abomasnow are large, white creatures covered in white fur. Their feet and hands are green and they have short, dark green tails. Abomasnow have four green spikes on their backs which resemble mountains. Abomasnow have bushy eyebrows and moustaches and have light-purple eyes. The only gender difference is that the fur on a female's chest is thicker than on a male.
Special abilities
Abomasnow have the ability to sense snow many miles away, and if they get too angry or form packs, they can create small snowstorms. Abomasnow's feet are very strong, and even strong winds cannot force this Pokemon to fall over.
Behaviour
Abomasnow are short-tempered and can become very territorial. As a result of this, they live in isolation high on mountain-tops.

Abomasnow evolves from Snover at Level 40.

Abomasnow is #460 in the National PokeDex and #143 in the Sinnoh PokeDex.

Abomasnow is a dual type Grass-Ice Pokemon.
Ability
Abomasnow has the ability Snow Warning, which means it can summon a hailstorm in battle. Unlike when using Hail, the storm lasts until Abomasnow is replaced, instead of just 5 turns.
Breeding
Abomasnow belongs to two egg groups- Monster and Plant. Its eggs take 5,120 steps to hatch.

Diamond: It whips up blizzards in mountains that are always buried in snow. It is the abominable snowman.
Pearl: It blankets wide areas in snow by whipping up blizzards. It is also known as 'The Ice Monster.'
Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia: It throws leaves to attack. It also summons blizzards.
Location
In Diamond and Pearl, if you head to Mount Coronet 3F or Mount Coronet Summit (First Half), you will encounter a level 40 Abomasnow 20% of the time.
It is not available in Pokemon Platinum. However, it can be found in Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia (in the Ice Lake.)
Stats
Its stronger stats include HP, Attack and Special Attack, whereas Defence, Special Defence and Speed are not so strong.
Weakness/ Resistance
It is weak to Flying, Fighting, Poison, Rock, Bug, Steel and is ultra-weak to Fire. Its resistances are to Ground, Grass, Water and Electric.

Abomasnow appeared as a Grass-Type Pokemon in D/P Mysterious Treasures and a Water-Type Pokemon in D/P Stormfront. It was a rare card in both sets.

Trivia
It is the first Pokemon alphabetically, robbing Abra of its crown.
Along with its pre-evolved form, Abomasnow is the only Grass-Type Pokemon that can not learn Sunny Day.
It appears to be based on a cross between a tree and the yeti. Its name is a shortening of the term 'Abominable Snowman,' another name for the yeti.
